It was clear very early on that SOUKOU would make music, as her grandmother said, "Child, you must sing. Nothing else."
For two years now, the Berlin-based artist has been active under her last name, SOUKOU, and with her EP 'bloodline,' she is now striking more personal tones. Here, we are no longer dealing with a girl who ran away with the circus, but with a woman who isn't afraid to engage with complex themes, create new things, and deconstruct old ones.
With her exceptional songwriting, lyrical texts, and unmistakable voice, SOUKOU has crafted her own unique sound of pop music that captures the spirit of the times. Sometimes danceable, sometimes vulnerable, and always extremely honest.
